About The Course
The students will learn some of the songs and routines from the famous musical "The Sound of Music. They will work on theatrical techniques, choreography, vocal training, script work and essential elements of putting on a show.
They will be encouraged to follow their own interests be it in choreography, design, dance, directing, instrumental, acting etc
Led by fully experienced and qualified professionals, the students will receive a high quality experience.

Jane Engelmann B.Ed Hons (mus/dram and psych)
A long term HK and DB resident, Jane is a fully qualified and experienced teacher, musician and actress. As well as being head of music and drama at DBIS for 12 years, she has also worked as a children’s TV presenter, an events coordinator, a voice artist and professional musical arranger. During her time in Discovery Bay, Jane also set up and ran JETS (Jane Engelmann Theatre School) which offered drama classes for children of all ages and included preparing students for the highly accredited LAMDA speech and drama exams with 100% pass rate. She enjoys an excellent relationship with children, parents and colleagues and is a great advocate of fun and laughter whilst maintaining high standards with a professional approach. |
